I've read the thread and the suggested fixes did not work for me. Raid 1 configuration to secure disk failure/data loss. I definitely DO NOT want to reset the qnap as this unit contains all our home and business documentation and backups. I did ad Qfinder to the whitelist on my Avast Firewall, but nothing. Qfinder finds the qnap with NAS IP: 192.168.101.115 (DHCP, not static, QTS ver.4.) but also when I ping the IP I get 100% loss. Connecting via http (or https, as I also forced secure connection) or connecting via Qfinder. Then upon next boot I noticed I couldn't connect. I was still adding data and afterwards shut down as we had "Load Shedding", where the power is shut off for 2-3 hours. This only happened after the last QTS update. You will get far fewer issues than if you rely on your router DHCP to provide the ip each time. Then your static ip which is set in QNAP's qts, or during the reinitialization first time setup, put it within same subnet of the dhcp but outside of it's ranged e.g. you should set it up like this as an example In my experience, using DHCP for your QNAP is just not worth it. DO NOT USE DHCP to assign an ip to the QNAP. #Troubleshooting qnap 431 qfinder does not find installIf anything still not working on qfinder, it could be a bug, report to įor a new nas during the smart install initialization you get when you first use qfinder, or first setup your nas, during the steps you should set static ip for your QNAP. After that, then go browser try login to your qnap. By default its configured for Before you do that though, you need to go to start, type credential manager, then add an entry for your QNAP credentials. or I set my nas to https forced, so i use that. Usually you'd open the admin web interface via qfinder, but if that doesn't work, you can manually type the ip in a browser e.g. It should then show you your qnap lan ip. Also if you are running vpn apps on windows, make sure it allows local lan connectivity) then scan. You go qfinder (make sure firewall isn't blocking this app. I don't know your exact situation so i'll just talk about accessing qnap from a lan scenario. power it off for 30seconds then power up, do you get a new wan ip?Īlso what is your network layout like and how exactly are you connecting to your QNAP (are you accessing via local lan? or are you connecting remotely over the internet?) And what QTS version and build are you using? what hard drives? are you using raid1 or what? And also if your isp is using a dynamic ip, hard reboot your router. If i'm not mistaken isn't that your wan ip or something? best edit your post and remove that. So I have tried connecting my laptop directly to the NAS and use Qfinder, which shows an ip of xxxxxxxxx, but it won't connect to this ip and pinging it has No LAN light for 20 seconds and then lights up for 5 seconds. “ I have done direct connection test, NAS can be seen in Network Neighborhood when directly connected.MY TS 251 stopped connecting to my router. “ I’m running direct connection test, but I can’t see the NAS in Network Neighborhood ”Ĥ.2 If you can see the NAS in direct connection test, but not able to see the NAS after putting the NAS back to original network.Ĥ.2.1 Please try enable Local Master Browser by this guideĤ.2.2 If enabling Local Master Browser doesn’t work, please help to open a ticket by QNAP Service Portal Please help to open a ticket by QNAP Service Portal This method could be used to rule out any network variable that might be interfering with the visibility of your NAS.ģ.On Windows, please find File Explorer > Network ,check if the NAS is in the Computer list.Ĥ.1 If you can ping the NAS and reach QTS web interface by NAS self-assigned IP in direct connection test, but not able to see the NAS in Network Neighborhood ( File explorer > Network).
