![]() The original 2007 version has long been replaced with each passing version and is now unavailable. The DOS version was still available, however with slightly updated/tweaked maps that had been edited in early 2011. #Wolfenstein 3d maps episode 1 level 3 code#Tricob kept all the chronological changes to the code neatly detailed in the attached Read Me file. The final version, dubbed v2.2, was released on March 28, 2011. As the sojourn into SDL took hold, another version, v2.1, was released on October 8, 2010. Some minor bugs were fixed in the code, as the SDL made for somewhat smoother compatibility. The initial 2007 version was dubbed v1.0 by Tricob, as an SDL version was released on June 8, 2009. The set was finalized over the summer of 2007, being released on August 26 that year. Tricob also did the coding chores, which were initially minor, however, and it remained somewhat true to its original concept. Other than Tricob and Thomas, the other participants were WLHack, Dean, Brian Lowe and Ronwolf1705. With Tricob at the helm, the set managed to get hold of many different mappers. In the summer of 2006, Thomas tried to revive the set and had piqued the interest of Tricob Thomas would shortly withdraw thereafter, slotting his contributions into the then-nascent Quest for the General. 30 levels are featured on the first three episodes, with a handful of these being built from scratch, mainly using as much as the 64圆4 slate as possible most levels, however, merely add to the original levels, though some feature large, new areas and all starting points have been altered. There was some debate whether it should be an actual contest or a community-made map set, but it was eventually decided on being the latter. This idea was discussed for some time, but had died down come the spring of 2006. The idea was suggested by Thomas in January 2006 as a pendant to Map Making Mania Melee being strictly a map set and nothing else, leaving all graphics and sounds untouched. ![]()
